Rose and Crown and others

Well here goes. Was in CSR 8/20 - 8/26 on the DDP. Heard many mixed reviews of the restaurants I had reservations for and wanted to add my opinion. Rose and Crown was by far the best meal we had all week. I couldn't ask for a better night. The food was excellent, service unbelievable and when it was time for illuminations our waitress set us up on the terrace. This truly was a memorable night. We did Ohana's for breakfast and this is a must do. My kids thought the waffles and eggs were the best they ever had and the characters were wonderful. Was very nervous about Pepper Market and it turned out to be wonderful. I could not believe the choices and that this was considered a counter service. It was so good my son, who was staying at Sports, started coming here for his counter service meals. Maya Grill also turned out to be a wonderful surprise. I had the beef with pasta and loved it. My younger son thought the ribeye was the best meal he had. We decided to try Boathouse Grille on the Boardwalk and thought this was great. We tried their samplings of microbrews and had alot of fun here. The food was excellent and heard from others that you could get in without ressies. Our only iffy meal was at Boatwrights at Port Orleans. Service was on the rude side but the food was okay. Only did this restaurant as a last minute ressie. Be aware though, Disney transportation was terrible so make sure you give yourself enough time to get where you need to go.
