DAY 4-Wednesday 18th October 2006
Cast-Me- Julie(41)
DH-Tommy(49)
DS-Rory(10)
Had breakfast in the hotel, we had to take 8.15 when we checked in and it was really busy. We prefer to eat earlier before it gets busy and then get organised for the park. We decided to go to Salon Mickey, we got DS to knock on the door and he wondered what we were doing. When we were there we recognised Steve and Denise from photos on the DIS so said hello.
We went straight to Buzz and all got rubbish scores, got FP for later. Then did Star Tours and persuaded DS to do SM2.He spent all the time in the queue and even when the ride was being loaded still not sure if he wanted to do it, and then when he came off hed loved it. There were some light showers as we went into SM2.
DS wanted to see the Stunt Show so we went to the Studios. After that we went back to the park and went to Victorias for Croque Monsieur . We all loved them, they were really big and filling. From there we went to the Fantastitch Stage and saw Donald and the Bat Boys and then Stitch and the Steel Drummers.
We went shopping and then back to the pinjata . It had started by the time we got there so we told DS to try and get forward to see and DHand I stood further back. When it had been burst and the sweets were on the ground it was a free for all. DS managed to get one. Then the wacky witches who had been doing the pinjata had sweets in their pockets and they were giving them to some of the kids whod missed out and some nice kids were trying to help themselves from the pockets. DS went to one of the witches to ask for a photo and when Id taken one she said I should be proud of his education and manners. We noticed that a lot, DS always asked the characters for an autograph and then asked if he could have a photo taken and they were happy to do this . The kids who tried to just barge in seemed to have to wait longer.
DS wanted to have his face painted so we went to the pumpkin at the hub and he had it done. By now it was teatime so we decided to go to Annettes , wed seen the queues there earlier in the week after park closing so got there about 6.30. DS and DH had burgers and I had chilli, they were lovely and the old fashioned lemonade was really nice. While we were eating Elvis came walking round, DH tried to take a photo so he kept jumping about to make it harder for him.
When We'd paid the bill and were leaving he waiters and waitresses started to sing so we stood beside all the pushchairs to watch. Wed gone earlier to avoid the queues but nearly missed the show so DH has said that next time(!) well put up with the crowds and go when its busier to try and see the singing.
We did lots of shopping in the village after this and then went to the hotel to dump the bags. DS had seen some stuff in the hotel shop so we went there next and DS pin traded with another boy there. As we returned to our room we saw Mickey in the reception.
