ropedrop mk and ak next week advice...

I will be at the happiest place on earth next week, and am planning on rope-dropping MK on tuesday (park opens at 8am) and Animal Kingdom on Thursday (park opens at 9am). Neither day has EMH. Ive heard that MK will not have main st open a full hour in advance when the park opens at 8am. Can anyone confirm this and recommend what time i should be there to be near the front of the pack when they let everyone in? I would also like to know what time is best for arriving at AK as we plan on hitting flight of passage as soon as we arrive.

1. Correct.
2. 7:15-ish.
3. 7:45-ish.

That is correct and it all depends on what position you want, if you just want to ride the rides before the masses one hour early is fine, if you are aiming to be first in line, like we always aim for, we arrive 1.5-2 hours early. We bring our breakfast and some card games with us and just pop a seat at the right turnstile and begin our wait

Thanks for the answers! We are going to try to hit Emporium first for the off-chance of a rose-gold ear restock on that Tuesday morning, since November is supposed to be the month for such things, and my DS has a harmony barbershop appt at 9am. The Animal Kingdom rope drop is for FOP because the FP+ were gone at 60 days out...
