Rope dropping Hagrid’s without early entry

Is it worth doing Hagrid’s first without early entry or will the line already be too long? I’m planning on doing it on Monday, January 4.

I just know sometimes at Disney the line for the most popular rides can be longer at rope drop than in the afternoon since everyone is trying to get a short wait

Do you have a second day as a backup? If so, I would wait until later into the early afternoon. It typically slows down after the initial rush. After dark is also really cool, and you can get in line right before park closing.

But, if you have just the one day, you might want to plan to be at the park during the early opening hour and wait at the barricade as early as you'd like to be at the front of the non-early entry rush.

I’m there 3 days, but one time on it isn’t nearly enough. 10-15 times over the 3 days is better... we probably won’t be there by park open on the first day (January 2, our flight lands at 7:14 AM), and on our last day (January 5), USF opens first

You can rope drop it if there is early entry for Isle or Adventure. It flips to virtual queue and official park opening.

Ohhh okay cool. In June there were no EE hours for IoA and it was VQ only. I’m glad EE is back.

I was there last week w Early entry, line never went down. IF you think its important to ride it, I would get in line first thing.
