Does anyone still hit space mountain, Buzz then go to Fantasyland train station to go to Splash and Big Thunder? Is that still effective? Looking to beat the crowds to splash and Big Thunder.

That's one of the many options guests have used for several years.
It will still work, if those are your goals.
(Walking will beat the train for TIME, but it will be a pleasant ride.)
Splash and BTM are usually not backed up during the first hour or two of the day.

Never heard of that plan, but I would think it would be faster just to walk to BTM and SP from Tomorrowland.

Yeah, we have always done it that way. We love the train ride.

I have thought about walking because I have not seen the new Fantasyland.

if you're starting in tomorrowland with space mountain and buzz and then want to head to splash mountain and thunder mountain and avoid long waits then i would not recommend wasting time with the train.
walking would be much faster.

personally though i like to start in fantasyland and hit up PP, IASW, mickey's philharmagic, winnie the pooh, and under the sea.

Really want to see the new(er) PP queue. Not much else for us in Fantasyland that cant wait until later in the day. Although we do love that land too, just not as much when our girls were younger.

I would go to Peter Pan FIRST, then around to Tomorrowland or BTTMR/Splash area. PP will get the longest (and slowest moving) line earliest.
