Rope Drop from VGF or Poly to MK

What would be the best method of transportation to get from either Poly or VGF to the Magic Kingdom for opening rope drop show, etc.?

Monorail or boat

From the Poly I would walk to the TTC and take the large ferry if the lines are too long on the either the express or resort monorail lines.

Thanks for the replies, sounds a though it would still take a fair amount of travel time to arrive at MK from either resort.

No necessarily. It's not completely under your control like being able to walk from BLT is but it's fairly fast unless you run into something like a monorail issue.

I would avoid the boat completely if you want to get there in a timely manner, especially at VGF. That boat goes to Poly first so it is a very slow process to get to MK that way.

Monorail is fastest way. The nice thing about monorails is that they come by much more frequently than buses at resorts. So I would definitely go that route if I ever wanted to go to rope drop.

If you are leaving from VGF, I would take monorail. If leaving from Poly, I would go with the boat. Boat goes to VGF first and then Poly then straight to MK.

As has been said, I would take the monorail from the GF and whatever boat I was closest to at the Poly. It's also not a long walk from the VGF to the small boat dock at the Poly.
