Rope Drop Breakfast Strategies?

What are you strategies for breakfast on days you intend to rope drop a park, especially if it's EMH in the morning?
We really want to get moving fast and get as much sleep as we can while getting to the park before turnstile opening.
I was considering buying pastries or sandwiches the night before to eat on our way to the park. Most of our stays we'll have access to a microwave and a toaster, but I know non-DVC rooms don't come with that.
We've also had a car and went through McDonald's drive in on the way to the park.

Anyone else have ideas?

We were on the DDP

Packed some granola bars for the room. Kids ate those on the bus on the way to the park.

If no EMH we would try and do a pre park opening breakfast.

If there were EMH we would hit rides until after Rope Drop and then grab a snack (cinnamon roll or similar). Do some more rides, maybe grab 1 more shareable snack before lunch.

For example, Animal Kingdom has huge Mickey shaped cinnamon rolls at Creature Comfort. 1 snack credit and we shared it.

Can also do Gaston’s Tavern at MK for a huge cinnamon roll to share.

IMO, use those EMH for the first 1-2 hours of park opening to get stuff done. Crowds will be the smallest all day right at opening. If you have to eat, eat before you get to the park or grab a quick snack while in the park.

Check out Disney Food Blog for some good snacks to get

We've always kept cereal with milk, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, etc. in the room. If we want to eat on the go we buy muffins and such in the resort food court the night before.

Yep, we eat in our room as well. That way while one person is getting ready, and we're all pretty much ready and fed at the same time and ready to go.

Yep, cheese, yogurt, cereal bars, beef jerky, fruit...eat in room while getting ready, hit attractions for an hour or so, then stop for a snack cinn roll or something along those lines.

Agree. This is what we do, especially if hitting an AM EMH and/or having a late breakfast ADR in the park.
