Rope drop at HS vs PPO ADR

We have an 8:10 reservation at H&V. The park opens at 9.

I couldn't get a FP for TOT so I'm hoping this will put us ahead of the crowd for it. Will this work? Or should we just rope drop and make a beeline for TOT?

After TOT we'll get in line for RR.

Side note -I do feel silly for booking this since we're 2 adults with no kids and won't be taking pictures with the characters. Guardians of the Galaxy is my husbands favorite at Disneyland and I want to show him how awesome the original is.

Also, he's a big breakfast guy and he's requested I book breakfast buffets.

Most folks are rushing to SDD, so if you finish eating early, I think you will be fine. I would check in early too - get there by 7:45 minimum.

Your H&V breakfast will put you behind the rope drop crowd but most will be heading to TSL.

If you really want breakfast at H&V, enter the park before 8a, pay as soon as you are seated, and tell your server to have the characters bypass your table. Leave as soon as you’re finished eating and head to ToT.

Like other have said you will be fine most go to TSL. TOT should be pretty much walk on at that time.

I'd make a 10:00 breakfast ADR Rope drop ToT and RnR and then head to H&V.

If you're on the dining plan this makes sense, but honestly ToT should not be a problem at RD. 90% of the crowd goes to Slinky.

It if were me I would dump that H&V. It is so expensive and if you're not doing characters it seems like a waste.

You won’t have a problem rope dropping TOT and RNRC with or without the ADR. If you really want to eat there then keep it, otherwise save your money.
