Rope drop arrival time?

So we plan on doing rope drop on 2/29. Park opens at 9. Is leaving our Universal Resort at 7:30 a good time?

We plan on rope dropping MK and would like to do 7DMT as all of the fastpasses are gone. We are staying at Cabana Bay

Well, you're looking at 20 mins on a good day to get from Cabana to the Toll plaza and then you still have to negotiate getting from your car to the TTC, then over to MK, through security, ticketing and into the park. 2/29 is a pretty crowded day on most crowd calendars, so if you are wanting to do 7DMT, I would try to be in the park (ie, through security and ticketing) and at the front of the rope by 8:15 at the latest. My best guess is it will take you an hour to get from your resort to the front of the castle.

So - IMO, I would try to leave Cabana at 7am but no later than 7:15.

Remember main street opens at 8 so there will be thousands of people already inside the park by 9am.

well, that will cut out some of the time. Main street will open an hour early so I still wouldn't leave any later than 7:15. Conservative estimate has you at the contemporary in 30 mins. You'll have a little walk over to MK and then you can be on Main Street by 8am.

Main Street opens at 8, so I'd want to be scanning my band by 730, which would mean parking by 710ish.
