So my fiance and I will be doing the Magic Kingdom photo shoot a few days after our wedding. My sister had the idea we should ask a cast member right away if we can be the people they choose to help with rope drop. Obviously we will be in our wedding attire. Any thoughts on if we have a chance? Has anyone done this or seen it done?

When you do the Magic Kingdom photo shoot, you are only allowed inside the park in your wedding attire with your photographer and escort. They drive you into the park and then drive you back out. You would not be allowed to stay inside the park after the shoot in your wedding attire.

This and also your MK shoot will be at least two or three hours before park opening. I know when we had ours, the only CM's we really saw were maintenance etc. (Besides our photographer). I don't remember having an escort, but I was totally in la la land at the time.

I understand we arent allowed to wander the park in our attire. We wouldnt be though, we would obviously be with a cast member and still go back and change right after. So thats not exactly what I was asking. And MK opens at 9am the day of our shoot and our shoot is from 730 am to 830 am....

Not to mention rope drop isnt in the park bc the park isnt opened and they pick people who are waiting outside....

If you're just looking for a Magical Moment not in your wedding attire, then you might want to try asking either concierge at your resort or guest services at Magic Kingdom how you might go about getting that to happen - being extra nice and sweet when you ask.

Or, what might be even better, have your fiance ask someone making it look like he would really love for this to happen as a special wedding present surprise for his new Disney wife. They might be even more willing to try to make it happen if possible or at least point him in the right direction.

Good luck - would be pretty cool if it worked out for you.

However, it sounds like the timing might not work out for you since you said your shoot is until 8:30am and the park opens at 9am, but you would still have to change before getting back to the entrance in time. But if the park opens at 9am, the show would probably start around 8:30-8:45. Maybe you could try it for another day.

They won't let you anywhere near park opening in your dress so that other guests could see you. I think is what the other posters were trying to say, escort or not- that's what they meant by "wandering", not LITERALLY wandering sans escort.
