mmmmmmm. I would let them melt slighlty before eating, so they were almost soft.

and the root beer ice over icecream like a dreamsicle!!!! lar lar lar...

I used to take 4 or 5 of them, smash them up, add a little rootbeer nd make rootbeer popsicle slushies. Yum. BUT... banana popsicles were my favorite.

I had a flashback to my childhood summers today too - - -

When I was little every Wednesday the snowcone van would drive through our neighborhood. There was also the regular ice cream truck that came through each day but there was something so special about getting a snowcone.

Well, today DH was on the patio grilling our lunch and he calls to me to "hurry, you have to see this!" .... it was a Kona Tropical Shaved Ice van! It was all colorful and playing Jamaican music. I almost chased it down the street! This is the first time I've ever seen it - I hope it comes back again. Yum!!
