Rooms won't be judged

So I did contact us to ask about registration for my kids because I only received the rules reminder for my character.

This is the reply I received:

Thank you for contacting VMK.

To register for the event, you must have registered one character per email.

So if families have more than one character on an e-mail I guess you are out of luck. I wish this was stated somewhere on the homepage. We probably would have worked together on one room and entered it. I did get confirmation e-mails for all three so we thought we were all registered.

Oh NO, I can't believe this. I signed my daughter up with my email because we share the same one. That is not fair. All our hard work and we won't be judged?

I kept trying to figure out why I only got only one confirmation. Oh boy someone in the house is going to be upset! I did my son and my daughters on my email address!

Like I mentioned above, my daughter and I signed up with the same email. I did receive the VMK Welcome messages. Was there another confirmation message sent besides this? I'm so steamed right now. We spent sooo much time working on our rooms. Makes me want to just shut the game off.

HOST_Sparky sent a similar message to me a couple of days after I registered. I presume that was the confirmation email.

the first time I registered I got three confirmation emails. Then when the sent out the second email confirmation, I only got one!

Oh I just read the first letter I received and it said there would be a confirmation letter and neither myself nor my daughter received that letter so I guess we are not in the competition. I guess I would have liked to have known all this beforehand before spending so much time on the rooms. It's just ridiculous though. I'm sure there are a lot of younger kids who are sharing the same email with their parents.

Yes I am sorry for anybody that signed up more than one under their e-mail. I am sure it is to keep mules out of the contest, but since it is a children's game I bet there are many who won't be judged.

I'm posting to both gripe and to warn anybody else that may be in my situation. It's better to know now than after you wait two weeks to be judged.

eta: I did receive confirmation e-mails from VMK when I signed up all three players. Then later when the reminder e-mail came about the rules I only received one so that is when I sent in my question. The first answer just said they only showed KeepSwimmingDory to be registered and not the other names. I did another contact us questioning why they wouldn't be registered and that was the reply I got today.

the letter from vmk you posted above is the one I received 3 times but only Dory is registered.
I received a total of 2 e-mails for Dory and only one on the others.

Registration will be open Monday December 17th, at some point in the afternoon (pst) we will only be accepting the first 2000 players who register properly. You will find the registration option in the Contact Us tool located at the bottom of any VMK webpage.

REMEMBER: It is VERY important that the email address you used to register for this competition is an one that can receive messages from us.

When the number of entries reaches 2000 players, we will remove the option to register from the Contact Us tool. A reply confirming registration will be sent to all successfully registered players.

Once again ONLY players that register exactly as instructed to will be judged.

Judging will take place between Wednesday December 26th and Sunday January 13th. There is no set order the judging will take place in. So to be on the safe side make sure to have your room completed before December 26th. You never know when you might be judged.

While it is not necessary to keep your room open to be judged, we hope you will be able to keep it open during the event weekend so other Players can enjoy what you have created. The way you will know you have been judged is that a Room Judging Flag Purple will be placed in your room.

Prizes will be announced after registrations have been closed.

Once again ONLY players that register exactly as instructed to will be judged.

Thanks for showing the emails. Yep I never got the one from Sparky for either me or my daughter. Wow so disappointing. They really should have made things more clear. I did not see anywhere that said only one per email. I did wonder about the email thing though when I registered both of us. I should have known it would end up being an issue.

Maybe we can post our kids rooms so they can at least let the DISers see all their hard work on their rooms. I'm so upset right now but I guess I've got to remember it's just a game. Sorry Dory and to the rest of you that aren't going to be judged either.

Edit: I looked through my emails again and did see the Sparky email for my character but my daughter received nothing.

Dory - do you think you and I are in the competition and our kids aren't or are we both disqualified too because of the same email issue. I'm so upset though for the kids.

I'm really sorry to be the bearer of bad news, Aurorasparkle. According to the e-mails I think Dory will be judged because I registered her first and not the kids. Who knows I may not be judged either? I doubt we will bother with the next contest. It's just too confusing to know if you have followed the rules or not.

I am in the same boat with you ladies. I used the same email address for my two girls and only received an email back from Sparky for DisSwimGurl and not for GAwesomeGirl.

Really bummed right now if GAwesome is not in the competition. Wish it was a little more clear when we registered not to use the same email address.
