We are headed to the GF 3/2 - 3/5 with my kids and my parents. I booked two rooms and asked them to be connected. We are really hoping to have a good view of the castle since my kids are young and just can't stay up that late for the fireworks.

Does anyone have any recommendations buildings to request or rooms numbers that have good views of the castle?

Thanks!

Not that many have a great view of the MK. If you look at the resort maps you can pick out which buildings to request. also, it depends on what class of view you booked. Did you book a lagoon view. Otherwise it may be unlikely to get that type of view if you booked a standard view.

If you booked a theme park view, the two best buildings to request are Conch Key and Sugar Loaf. If you have lagoon view, you may want to try Boca Chica. You could get lucky and have at least a partial view of the castle. If you have a garden view booked, again I'd suggest Boca Chica. Specifically, you want to ask for a high floor, overlooking Narcoossees. Some of these rooms offer a view of the castle through the trees.

for Conch Key and Sugar Loaf...I'm assuming a high floor with a "theme park view" should be about the best you can get if you want a view of the castle?

Are the various buildings of this resort connected by indoor corridors...or do you go outside inbetween buildings, etc? Just curious more than anything.

And how long of a walk is it from the Conch Key building to the main building areas (length of time)?

Also - what is faster to the MK...the monorail or the boat service?

one more...do the theme park view rooms have balconies?

Thanks!!

None of the buildings are connected, you must go outside to get to the main building or go to another building. The rooms are inside corridors, you must go inside the building to get to your room. The resort is laid out very nicely and each building is not far from the main building, I would say a 5 minute walk. Generally the monorail is the fastest way to the MK as the GF is the last resort prior to arriving to the MK. The boat can be faster, going back to the resort, but the boat is small and really does not hold a whole lot of people, so going back to the resort can be time consuming if you have to wait for a second boat.

Yes, as far as I can recall all the rooms have balconies. We stayed in Boca Chica and had a nice view of the lagoon, the CR and the WL. We could see the castle from our room, but the view of the castle was partially obstructed by a large pine tree. We could hear the train whistle and the howling dog from the Haunted Mansion...just remembering it all makes me just sigh I loved sitting on the balconey in the morning with my coffee and pasteries and watching the boats and the monorail.

thanks for the info! I think I'm going to be booking soon! Can't wait...
