If you've traveled in a verandah room overlooking one of the 4E verandahs on deck 5, how was it? Is it strange to see the people and chairs below? Does a lot of noise filter up? I'm looking at deck 9 rooms aft.

Thanks!

We have stayed in 4E cabins several times and love it. There is an overhang on the veranda which is where we usually sat so we weren't in direct sunlight so I doubt anyone looking down would see us. When we did sit or stand by the railing and looked up, we could see people above us only if they were standing at the railing. If you are sitting on your veranda I doubt you would see anyone below you. As for noise, it's unlikely you would hear anything from deck 5 if you are on 9. The most noise we heard was the wonderful sound of the ocean!

We sailed on the fantasy on deck 9 aft in a 4E. The only way to see anyone above us was to walk all the way to the railing, turn around and look up. We could not see anyone below us. We just saw ocean when we looked down. No issues with noise.

I think the only way you could see down would be if you were right on the edge of your deck 5 verandah looking down. We stayed in a 4E, and I spent a ton of time on the balcony and never noticed anyone looking at me.

I don't have the deck plans handy but I think this is what you are asking about. To me it seemed a bit strange looking down and seeing people when someone was out, but for the most part I would be sitting while I was out there so it wasn't really an issue. And I've never notice any noise.

Here's a view to get an idea...
