Rooms on ground floor

I'm booked for 2 weeks in July at Bonnet Creek. It will be 4 adults and 2 kids. I'd like to know how the rooms the ground floor are.

Last year I was at Wyndham Governor's Green and we had a 2-bedroom on the ground floor. It was a lake side view and it was great. We went out on the patio and the little one who was 2 at the time fed the geese every morning. He had a ball just running on the grass. The lake had a fence around it so if we took him near the lake to see the fish and frogs we didn't have to worry.

I read on this site that they don't take room requests unless you are an owner, but do a lot of people request ground floor rooms? Are they very noisy, especially pool side?

Do we have a chance requesting a ground floor lake side room at check in? I know it's luck of the draw. Is the lake fenced off?

Do people normally avoid ground floor rooms at BC?

I don't know about ground-floor units at WBC generally, but I think you would have a good bit of noise with a "lake view" unit in Tower 5 because of the zero-entry pool and lazy river. You wouldn't be able to see anything but the pool and I suspect it would be pretty noisy.

I would have the same concern about low rooms over in Tower 2-3 where the pool bar is...especially when they have the drunken Karaoke nights. If it was loud on our balcony across the lake on the top floor of Tower 4, I'm sure it would be bothersome closer to the "action."

The alternative to "lake view" is really "parking lot view" in Towers 1-3, and the lower floors of Towers 4-6. So those would hardly be glamorous.

It depends on what you are looking for: If you like convenience and don't mind some noise, then you would be ok. I stayed in tower 3 on the 4th floor. Must say the karaoke wasn't too bad. It ended at 10 but we did have a fan for white noise in our room.
