Rooms in Dec?

Well, I've been bored at work so I've now decided that we are going to try and do a cheaper trip this Dec and still go and stay at the Poly next year. (when our daughter is 2)
I just can't wait a whole year before going.(I know you all understand)
Here is my question.... We would like to go around the 5-9 of December since my cousin who works there will be there then.
I'm reading that people are having a hard time getting rooms in Dec.
Does anyone know how AKL, WL or the moderates are looking for room availability at that time. The site is down and I'm at work so I can't call.
So any ideas how things are looking at that time?

Last time we went Dec. 5-10 and boy, was it great!

Cool temps, no crowds. No problem getting a nice suite at the GF.

I don't know why people go in the middle of the summer--horrors!

You will love it that time of year.
