Please could you tell me if the fifth beds in rooms at Port Orleans Riverside and The Carribean Beach are suitable for adult use or are they for children. We stayed before at POR when the kids were younger but the rooms have been refurbished since then and I am not sure if it is possible to book to stay here now that my three kids are all teens. Many thanks for your help

Only a very small adult would fit on one of those beds. They are slightly larger than a crib mattress.

You could bring along an air mattress and use that for one of your teens.

They are small. DD was 7 when we went and she slept on it. It would have to be a petite adult to be comfortable.

Eep!

My niece managed at POR when she was 10 but it wasn't great. She's a tall girl now but she wasn't especially tall at 10 years old.

We love the Deluxes. And while they're more expensive, my 6'3" son-- the only boy, so he gets his own bed-- is so much more comfortable than he would be with most of the alternatives.

Our family of 6 loves the cabins at Fort Wilderness. We are all adult sized.

How do you make that work? I was looking at the cabins, but told the bunk beds were not long enough except for very short adults. Also, do you know if there is a weight limit on the bunk beds?

No, the fifth bed is not suitable for an adult. They are built, and intended for, a small child. Although a very tiny and short adult might sleep there, I suppose. I am 5'3" and I would definitely not consider sleeping on that tiny fold down bed. It folds down out of the 'dresser' that once would have held drawers for clothes, if that helps you picture it. You can also go online and see pictures of these 'beds'. My 5 yo Grand daughter fits comfortably on this bed, for example.

Works just fine. Queen sofa sleeper in main room (Dh and I slept on that) full or queen bed in bedroom (ds 5'9 165 pounds and dd 5'5 140 pounds slept on that) bunk beds seem standard size and very sturdy (ds 5'10 140 pounds and ds 5'9 180 pounds) slept on those. Our kids are 22, 18,17 and 14.

We always bring a blow up air mattress or 2 but no one used those this trip.

We were just there 5/20 to 5/25 and were all quite comfortable..

That's a great help, thanks everyone. We have also been looking at OKW and the cabins at Fort Wilderness, maybe I will investigate these further
