I am helping DBIL and DSis plan their October WDW trip :). DBIL loves WL and wants to stay there for sure. I am hoping for a package code soon and called him tonight to firm up all the things he wants (DDP, what type of tickets, etc.). He asked what category (woods view, courtyard view, etc.) a room that overlooks the gorgeous lobby would be. We are DVC members and have stayed at VWL our last few stays at WL, so I wasn't sure what the answer to his question was. Does anyone know? Thanks :)

The Wilderness Lodge has all three Standard, Wood & Courtyard Views that are located in the main section overlooking or opening to the Lobby. :confused3 So maybe I just answered your question didn't I, all three views are available off the Lobby. But when booking only the room type is guaranteed not the location of the room.

Good Luck

When we stayed at WL our room was off the lobby. At that time it was called a "Honeymoon Suite". Not your typical suite, but I believe it was larger than the standard room. Perhaps they still categorize it as the same.

Thanks for the info :). I'll make the request of a room overlooking the lobby when I make their reservation (knowing of course that it's not guaranteed).
