Rooms at Port Orleans Riverside

Im going to the Port Orleans resort soon but i have never stayed in a disney run hotel, only the swan and dolphin.

Can anyone tell me what is provided in your room? Do they provide shampoo etc?

Also around the pool, do they provide towels or will i need to take a pool towel?

We stayed a Port Orleans in 2005 for our first trip. They provided us with little mickey mouse soaps and shampoo each day. The big pool provided us with towels but the little pools were shut down when we were there.

They do provide towels at the pools at POR

If you do take your room towels, you can call house keeping and ask for some more fresh ones for your room

If the towels are anything like the ones at CBR then i would take your own - they were really really tiny

There's just Mickey shampoo and soap. Whilst they have a novelty factor I don't think they are of particularly good quality, so take your own. There are pool towels and they did us just fine.
Enjoy your stay at the POR, it is just beautiful.

there are always lots of towels at the pool use as many as you want

and remember to get the refillable mugs they save lots $$$$$$$$$$$

They have towels, refrgerator, iron and board, soap, shampoo, coffee maker and coffee (which was horrible) in the room. Towels at all pools (last week at least). Here are some pics from last week (sorry none of the actual room, with 5 of us it got messy pretty quick.

We are going to be staying there next August , it will be our first time on Disney property

Hi we stayed at POR last year and we loved it. Mickman 1962 got it spot on as to whats in the room, including the horrible coffee! There are always plenty plenty plenty of towels available in the room. It got to be a bit of a joke with us as their was only the two of us and on one day we counted 12 towels and 15 flannels in the room!!! I've made a note in my 'Things to remember for next time' book, not to bring any towels, especially as we usually buy a couple of big pool towels when we are out there!
