Depends on level of you first and availability at booking and checkin. There are no upgrades for AP members just discounts.

No premier pass holders are eligible for upgrades so I was just wondering if anyone ever got one. Guess I'll wait and see.

FWIW I've never heard that AP holders get upgrades and never heard OF an upgrade based on an AP.

I did just double check and it says free room upgrade upon arrival (based on availability) and $50 suite upgrades at check in.

Have you got a link? I see that Premier APs Passholder rates qualify for YouFirst benefits. Is that what you are referring to? That must be one of the new Premier Perks. Looks like it puts you at blue level.

New to me but I don't think it's worth the extra cost for premier pass. Just like damo said its basically blue status with you first. Just stay twice and then you get blue for free.

When I was at blue I used the free upgrade and that is garden to water view and that's it. It was easier to do on off times.

Now at gold it's at time of booking.

I only have preferred but the person I'm traveling with has a premier, so I was just being curious. We are staying at portofino the only onsite I've never stayed at so I'm happy with whatever room we get!

It all seems to depend on when you go. If you are going in a slow time, they might upgrade you to a water view of some sort.

While googling to try to find out how much the renewal and upgrade from Preferred to Premier would be, I found an article mentioning those benefits back in 2010. Darnit.

I was very curious about this myself as I am in the Leows program as wel and a blue. Blue status says a free room upgrade when available.
I have stayed at UO many times and heres what has happened to me in the past...It was my 3rd time at the Portofino andI had booked a deluxe room because my mom likes that bathroom with the window...anyway when we checked in they upgraded us without asking to a villa room,,,we were on the left side above the boat dock in a room with an outside balcony and an outside table it was unreal we couldnt believe it and never knew why we got so lucky...
anyway point being hasnt happened since.
This year when I booked(traveling down Sept 30 for a week at RP)
there was no way to state my membership. i called several times it seems Universal cant add your Leows mbrshp to your res anymore (thats how I always did it) and they told me to cal lthe hote ldirectly. I did but they couldnt add it either because Uni made the res.
Long story short I lost my gold status and am back to a blue because its been a while but I should still be able to try for an upgrade and some benefits but I was told to give my card when I check in.
Anyone have any tips...Im not good at this sort of thing and I dont know how to ask for things. I feel weird saying hey im in the Leows program heres my card what can I get but I will.
last time we got what I would call the longest walk room the complete last room in the complete last hallway. I would love any suggestions of how to avoid those kind of things as I will be traveling with my flks wh are both seniors.

Thats what happened to me!! I somehow ended up with 2 accounts and lost my gold so now "as a courtesy" Leows made me a blue with a new account since I guess what they tell me is the program was changed but very weird
