I just booked DH and I for WL in May. I booked over the phone so we could take advantage of the 40% military rate.

When I asked to book woods view, I was told that the only woods view available were bunk beds, so I went ahead and booked that. I didn't realize until after I hung up and did the math/looked online that I realized bunk bed rooms cost extra. Then, I searched the same dates/lodge online, it shows regular woods view available all the way up to where I would put in my information.

Is the web just not up to speed, or should I call back and request the woods view without bunk beds at the lesser rate? It's not a huge difference, but enough. If there's a queen/king available for cheaper, DH and I certainly don't NEED to pay for bunk beds!

Call back. It could be that the only 40% discounted rooms are the ones with bunk beds. If you keep it, it does give you more room to walk around.

Remember, there are only a certain amount of rooms allotted for discounts, including the WL. I was booked at WL a few weeks ago, and the only woods view rooms available were with bunk beds, so it's likely that the quota for the discount on rooms with only 2 queens has been reached...they were available previously.

Thanks! I called back to double check, and it is because of the military discount. I'll keep the bunk beds. No worries, with the amount we're saving with the discount I can't complain too much!

Keep in mind more rooms open up under this discount so keep calling back & ask. This has happen to me two times last year. First time in Sept wanted BWI but had to settle for WLVillas but two weeks before we were to go the BWI open up not the club level we wanted but a regular room and then a week into our stay (we had club level for the first 10 days at the BWI but decided in July to stay an extra 4 days) a club level open up.

Then this past Dec we were booked at the BWI & DH decided to give me my birthday gift early to stay an extra 4 days. All he could get me was club level at the Yacht Club but four days into our stay a club level open up at the BWI club level. All these trips were booked under the military discount. Can't hurt to check
