Room thoughts...BC Concierge vs. Wilderness Lodge?

Looking to book a week in October using the Fairytale package, and hoping for some opinions. I've got a bunch of different options to compare, but the two that seem best to me are:

1. Beach Club - Concierge Garden View @ $2,852 or;
2. Wilderness Lodge - Lodge (Woods) View @ $1,953

I've stayed at WL before, and loved it, so that's a plus there. Our main reason for going at this time is the Food & Wine Festival @ Epcot, so that's a big plus in favor of BC due to proximity (Concierge are the only available rooms). Cost, obviously, favors WL.

Any opinions? Is the Concierge room really worth the extra $$$?

I tend to think not (and KNOW that DW won't), but just looking for other thoughts/opinions.

Thanks for the help!

Hmmm hard question. How many people?

$900.00 more to stay within walking distance to EPCOT, breakfast everyday, snacks, water bottles, soft drinks, wine & cheese, appetizers, desserts in the evening and the services of an itinerary planner to book all your PS's and that gorgeous pool.

If it was me I would say yes - 120.00 a day more sounds worth it to me - how much would you normally be spending on breakfasts, snacks, water, drinks etc...? and how much time will you save not having to travel from WL? Time is money!

P.S. Concierge is your best bet for hard to get PS's at popular restaurants.

Personally, I'd rather have the $900 to spend at Disney than to tie it up in resort costs. We stayed at WL in May and went to Epcot via boat and monorail rather than the bus. We found this a really fun way to travel. We were able to upgrade to conceirge at WL for $45 a night. We did make use of the refreshments but would have been fine w/o them. I think it really depends on who's in your group. If it's just 2 adults I'd say stay at WL and spend the $ elsewhere. However, if you have kids or a large group than staying close to the park you're going to visit the most makes more sense.

If you are traveling with all adults or older aged children, I would say definitely stay at Beach Club. If you are traveling with young children, then stick to WL. I have stayed at both resorts, and they are both wonderful. But, while WL is my fav, you can't beat the location of BCR! The extra money for concierge will be well spent.

YC/BC is our favorite resort. I guess I consider it one big resort. We've done concierge AND regular rooms at both. We tried WL this year because we felt like we should try something different. Never ever ever again! We weren't impressed with WL other than the theming. And, the trails that lead to Fort Wilderness...that was fun!

Service was way under par with what we're use to at YC/BC. It's so hard to get anywhere - we don't do buses so the only transportation we used was the boats which we found to be SLOW. We drive..that's why we don't do buses. Once a boat sat at the Contemporary empty for 20 minutes while "someone took a break" - got that straight from the CM's mouth. The rooms are smaller and sort of dark IMHO and not up to the deluxe standard. The pool is so small, but then again I'm comparing it to the best pool on WDW property - Stormalong Bay.

If you're going to experience the Food & Wine Festival, I highly recommend BC. How easy can it get? We really missed the whole Epcot Resort Area with the boardwalk area. Missed the shopping, dining, Fantasia miniature golf...all within walking
distance. Plus, you've got easy access to MGM. AND, we love Stormalong Bay. Can't be beat.

We learned our lesson and will never feel bad again about
staying at the same resort every trip. Hmmm...maybe we should buy into Beach Club Villas.
