room service and ddp

I dont believe you can use your table or counter credits for room service. The only exception might be for pizza delivery, based on the hotel you are staying at, and in some cases it counts for 2 credits! If i can find the exact information, I will come back and post! Ok, here it is! I found this on allears.nte!

The Disney Dining Plan can be used for In-Room Private Dining/Pizza Delivery as follows:

In-Room Dining -- TWO table service credits (gratuities included) will be deducted from your Dining Plan for a single serving meal. A meal will include the following items:

--Juice (at breakfast)
--Entree
--Dessert (at lunch and dinner)
--Non-alcoholic beverage

This is for single serving portions only, and does not include hospitality platters, amenities, or merchandise.

Pizza Delivery -- TWO ADULT table service credits (gratuities included) will be deducted from your Dining Plan for a pizza delivery meal:

--two non-alcoholic beverages
--one pizza entree item
--two desserts

Yes, it is two adult TS credits for room service. It can be regular meals, or pizza (which doesn't seem to be worth it to me).

The above covers what you can order that will be included, and gratuity will be included as well, just like the dinner shows.

We used table service credits for room service on our recent stay at AKL. When you order room service tell them at the beginning you're on the dining plan, that way the cm know's what you're entitled to. For example at AKL I wanted a milkshake as a drink, but I was told that would count as my dessert.

When they bring the order, just sign the receipt which will tell you how many credits you have left, same as in any table service restaurants. Although it probably wasn't the best use of two credits, we got a lot of food and the food was tasty.

We just used room service for the first time on our trip last month; had dinner in the room at Yacht Club. It was fantastic -- roast chicken dinner was the best we think we've ever had, and it was SO worth using DP credits this way! We were all tired, there was a 30 to 40 minute wait for walk-ins at the Captain's Grill (a table service restaurant in YC)... made a lot of sense for us to make the splurge.

They do charge you the gratuity directly when you use room service, BTW, so you don't need to give a tip when the food is delivered.

we ordered room service b'fast at the beach club one lazy morning and it was outstanding... the french toast was awesome and two meals was more than enough to feed three of us...

We were on the Deluxe DDP and ordered room service at the VWL and it was excellent, ours came with an appetizer, entree, dessert, beverage, (tip included) well worth the 2 credits each.
