We have a trip planted for two adults two teens June 16-21. Now the teens want to bring friends. We would need one room with two queens (easy enough) but another room two queens AND a sofa bed for a 6ft4 guy. Any ideas that won’t cost us a small fortune?

The only rooms that would guarantee a day bed possibly large enough for the 6ft. 4 guy would be a standard room on the monorail line - the CR, garden view rooms would be the cheapest. Maybe consider two family suites at AoA? That would give you a total of 6 beds and 4 bathrooms. The suites would not connect, however. A two-bedroom at Riviera would work, but that won't be cheap. You could also call the Swan/Dolphin to see if they have a suite configuration that would suit your configuration. If there is an 18-year old amongst the group, you could also consider 3 standard rooms at a value.

That’s tricky. I don’t usually recommend non-Disney hotels, but for your circumstance & to save a bunch of $$ you might consider a 3 bedroom at Wyndom Bonnett Creek. Will you have a car?

Yes, you could do a 2 bedroom villa at Riveria but you’re looking at $1,200 - $1,800 a night. Perhaps one of the Disney springs hotels might work

Does the 6ft4 guy have to be the one on the pull-out? 2 5th sleepers at CBR or POR, if they ever open back up, would probably be your cheapest option, but the pullout is more suited for a smaller teen.

Day beds in the deluxe resorts would not be long enough for a 6'4" person. They are twin sized, so rather short. You'd really need a queen a a minimum for him to sleep diagonally. Book two rooms at a minimum.

Vacation rental house in Windsor Hills if you’re open to off site. google it.

Get a suite at AOA. the room sleeps six ( queen bed, pull out couch, and a murphy type that double as the dining table) there should be plenty of room for the big guy in the queen bed. It has two rooms and best of all when you have teenagers, TWO bathrooms. Go for the Cars building as everything id right out the front door.

We rented points for a 2 BR at AKL from an individual owner, which got it down to $900 a night all in. Still stupid expensive but not as bad as riviera rack rates. Maybe look into point rentals? I know OKW 1 bedrooms have big laundry rooms that can accommodate a twin air bed or rollaway.

The YC/BC have rooms with two queens and a pullout couch, however you can't book them directly so it is not guaranteed. The simplest option looks like to book at 2BR at SSR or OKW, which were $660/678 per night. The cheapest option is to book 3 value rooms, which is about $1200 less.

AS Music is slated to open in March. A family suite here would be an option if it opens up in time for your trip. The family suites have been renovated. There is a master suite and a living room that has a queen pull out couch and another queen murphy bed. There are two bathrooms too!

Unfortunately, only Movies, not Music is scheduled to open. If the 6'4 guy has to be on a sofa bed...I really don't know how to stay onsite without spending a literal fortune, not just a small one. CBR has a room type with two queens and a pull down murphy bed, but I can't imagine a tall person fitting very comfortably on it. If it were feasible, maybe the friends could contribute to the cost and AOA could pan out. Otherwise, an offsite house rental may be the best bet, or I think the Double Tree in Disney Springs has suites with at least one sofa bed in the living room and a separate bedroom, although the only way to the bathroom may have been through the bedroom. The cabins at Fort Wilderness have a similar set up. The living room has a sleeper sofa and the bedroom has a bed and twin bunk beds and again I believe the one bathroom is through the bedroom area.

Not true about the laundry room. It's big, but not big enough for a twin air bed or rollaway. And you won't get either from OKW. You'd have to bring your own.

It's big enough to open the door to the laundry room (door opens into the room) and to open the dryer.

Ah gotcha. I had heard a bunch of stories about people putting pack n plays in there comfortably so I figured a twin air mattress would work too. Thanks for the correction, and good to know!!
