We will be leaving in 20 days for All Star Music. Is it better to fax room and building requests or call and request them? Has anyone had any experience they could share with me? :flower: :flower:
Getting very excited
Thank you for your help :flower:

Fax them 4 days before arrival. We did it for the last 2 trips at Pop and it worked perfect.

Most of the resorts are now ignoring the faxes. You should call reservations and have your requests noted in your reservation. Then there is no need to fax or call.

I was just told that you need not fax or call again, just have the room request noted when you first make the reservation.

How long ago did they take the faxed requests at Pop? I am leaning towards faxing still I'm just not sure :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

It was a while ago that they stopped taking faxes. You can either call and have it noted on your ressie or request an area at check in. Just keep in mind that it is a request and sometimes for some reason or another they can't be granted.

Best thing to do is fax them in about two days before your arrival. We have done that twice and WDW was able to accommodate our requests (one to the "t", the other the best they could). The way I look at it is you have nothing to loose by trying.

Good luck and have fun!

At the 2 day mark your room has already been assigned. If your requests are in your reservation no need to fax.

Thanks Safety mom, I know you post this every time this question comes up, and I have to apologize for being a "Doubting thomas' sort... figuring what can it hurt (and again there have been dozens and dozens of posts saying they do fax...) However, I noticed when I switched from a "room only" ressie, to a pkg, I see a difference in how my requests are noted on my reservations!!

So between your posts, and reading my confirmation reservation... I wont fax!! (OK, and I have called CRO about a dozen times asking them too!! :flower: ) I requested a mansion at POR, non smoking and connecting rooms... since its my first time, and from reading posts here, I know that there is disney "magic" in any room assigned :wizard: I dont think in the end it matters if its AB or Mansions, but it matters for connecting, well maybe not even then!! :rotfl:

I do believe in magic, and I do believe if room is not ready, I can wait, and I am a polite, kind, gracious person!! Last year I had requested Tokelau at the Polynesian, and they assigned me Roratonga, I went with it, and loved it - it turned out perfect!! :wizard:
