We are arriving at POFQ this week and just tried to fax a room request. I see the fax numbers listed say "no longer available." How do you request a room now? My daughter has asthma and we can't be near a designated smoking area.

Call Disney and have them note it to your reservation. I guess to be safe you should check when you arrive to be certain.

Either add it online to your existing reservation using one of the drop-down choices or call the Disney reservation # to have them add that note to your reservation. From other threads I have seen on here Disney no longer accepts faxes for room requests. I agree for something that is a health concern, stopping by the front desk upon arrival is also a good idea.

There is only 1 designated smoking area at POFQ, behind the pool, on the river same path as the boat launch to DS. It’s between buildings 2 and 5 but I don’t think it would be close enough to the rooms to have any impact.
The map is outdated as it shows them outside every block but they have been removed

About as much as they've always been. Hit or miss , which is standard and makes sense. Good luck!

POFQ is one hotel I wouldn't worry about making a request. The resort is so compact, it doesn't make much of a difference as to rooom location.
