Room requests

Our last trip was booked through a third-party. I had to call the hotel directly with our room requests(really only a room with a daybed).

Would the same be true if I booked directly through Disney, or would I be able to make requests when I book online?

For our trip in March we booked everything through Disney and stayed at Sheraton Park.

We wanted a Disney view room and had to request this directly through the hotel.
