Room requests.

Hi all.

The obsessive planner I am I've been looking at floor plans of BLT and AKV Jambo.

Do other DVCers ever request certain rooms or room areas?

How often has it worked out for you if you have?

Unsuprisingly if I did put such a request in it'd be for the popular locations, so am I best being more general. E.g. Arusha View please for AKV and high floor please for BLT MV?

I think you've got it right for an MK view, a high floor. You could also add, a room more to the north end, as well to get a more head on view of the castle.

Don't know much about Jambo House DVC villas. I do know all of the villas are on the 5th or 6th floor (concierge), so you are much farther away from the animals. At Kidani you can ask for a villa on the second or third level.

Do keep in mind there are no guarantees on the view/location requests for your villa. Here's a little pixiedust to help you get the view you desire.

I'm impressed, I think at this point I just scan the last few pages from time to time. Whereas at the beginning I read each post.

The more specific your request, the less chance of you getting your request. The odds of a specific room being available during the days of your stay are next to impossible. You have much better odds of a "high floor" type of request coming through.

I had a conversation with a Cast Member who was the WL/VWL room assigner. She told me that if the requests got to specific, she would skip over them because she only had so much time to do her job.

Thanks Bill, I think my AKL "Arusha please" and BLT "High floor please" may be the best bet.

I suppose slipping in it's our wedding/honeymoon trip might help a little.

We visit WDW 2 or 3 times a year. In December we were there for 3 1/2 weeks and stayed at 4 resorts. Lately, I have noticed less magic at WDW in several areas.

We were celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary and I added the event to our reservations. 3 of the 4 resorts gave us anniversary buttons. Only 1 of the 3 mentioned the event. The other 2 just handed the buttons to me without saying anything.

Make sure that you add your honeymoon to the "celebrate" section on your reservation.
