What is the best way to request a room at the Poly if your travel agent is a dud? whenever I call CRO. they tell me that they must work with my travel agent. I a sorry I ever booked with one.

Call CRO back and see if they show your reservation in the system. If so, ask them if they could please enter in your requests. If they cannot, then I would wait and call the Polynesian 5 days prior to arrival, confirm your reservation directly with them, then indicate whatever preferences you may have.
