Room requests....only within 10 days?

Hi there. We are staying at SSR starting on 9/21. (Booked thru RCI) I just called today (9/6) to ask to be in the Paddock section, but I was told I would have to call back on or after 9/12 to make any requests. Is this correct or should I call back and try to get someone else?

I e-mail my request and chnes to the reservation. I get a confirmation e-mail generally within 24 hours that's it's been taken care of!

It is strange how Disney has still not fixed the online room request section to the MDE, or perhaps they don't plan on fixing it at all.

Trades via RCI work differently than "regular" DVC reservations. There is a special group within MS that usually handles them. It is entirely possible that they note requests closer to arrival. If you decide to try again before 9/12, ask the CM that first answers to transfer you to someone who can help with RCI trade reservations.
