I understand that a room request is not guaranteed but when requesting a room do you have to ask for a particular section?

I don't mind what the view is really, I just don't want it to be a parking lot. :rolleyes1

What do I ask for?

Are there specific area's of the CR or Poly to request? Haven't made a deciding choice yet. We've only been once and we stayed at POR. We'd like to try one of these two Deluxes this time around.

Thanks for any input you can give me.

At the Contemporary in the Tower you don't need to make any requests. You have the choice of making a reservation for a Magic Kingdom view room or a Bay Lake view, assuming both are available. The only requests you would make in the Tower would be for the standard rooms on the 12th floor Atrium Club and 14th floor Tower Club. So that is the only expection for all the rooms in the Tower. When it comes to the rooms in the South Garden Wing, I think you get a view based on the type of room you select. I can't go into more about that since my parents and I have only stayed in the Tower.

At the Polynesian unless you're staying in a Club Level Garden View or Lagoon View room, you will be in the Hawaii Longhouse. If you want a suite then you would be in the Tonga Longhouse. If you're not staying as a Club Level guest or a in a suite, then you make a reservation for a Garden View or a Lagoon View and you can request which Longhouse you would like to stay in.

Thanks for the great info!:thumbsup2
Is the Tower more expensive than the South garden wing?
Is it a separate building?

TIA

You're welcome and to answer you're question the Tower is more expensive then the South Garden Wing and yes it's a seperate building. Also the Magic Kingdom view is about $30-$45 more then the Bay Lake view, depending on when you would stay at the Contemporary.

Thanks again..

One more question...

Are there refridgerators available at these resorts? Also, what about toasters?

I am completely clueless and trying to get this all figured out. ;) :cutie:

Rooms at both the Contemporary and Polynesian have a mini fridge and if you wanted a toaster just go to Captin Cook's at the Polynesian and I assume the Tempo Grab & Go counter service location at the Contemporary also has one.
