I've read about this but never done it for a non concierge room and this is also our first stay at WL.

Can someone tell me when I need to fax this? We are checking in Sunday (yes this Sunday). And for anyone that has stayed at WL before can you tell me what type of requests I should be asking for?

I'm traveling with a 4 yr old Autistic child so we usually like to stay close to transportation to and from WDW and on the ground floor. We have a woodland view room booked. Any tips? What is the bus transportation like? Is everything in close proximity to everything or is it a hike no matter where you are to transportation. The most important is the ground floor for us but we don't want to walk 5 miles to get on the bus or boat. I prefer the boat service in case the kids are sleeping when we come back.

Also- where do I fax for WL and when?

Thanks so much,
Heather

i would send the fax today. the number to the WL is 407-824-3460. make sure you ask for a ground floor room, maybe close to the lobby. hope this helps. you also might want to call the WL front desk, 407-824-3200 and just make sure they got your fax.

Hi There!! You will love the WL. We were there in February. We were on the 5th floor. Send the fax today!! Request anything and everything you want. I requested that we would like a room close to the elevator and in a quiet area. We paid for a standard view but was upgraded (without asking) to a courtyard view just around the corner fromt the elevator and far enough away from the pool that we couldn't hear it hardly at all. Everything at the WL is in close proximity to the lobby. Once you get there you'll see. To get to the buses, you'll go out the doors right down the hall from the store in the lobby and down the path (takes just a couple of minutes). The buses were not crowded at all when we were there. We were the first stop in the mornings and the first stop in the evenings. We rode the boat twice, once over to the Contemporary to ride the monorail and once to Fort Wilderness to attend the Hoop De Doo Review. We had to stand in line for the boats longer than we had to stand in line for the busses. The busses ran about every 10 minutes or so, there are only two boats so it takes longer to stand in line, but it's a shorter trip to the park than the busses. Anyway...I hope this helps and I hope that I haven't confused you to much. If you have any other questions, email me at rabelgirls@charter.net.

PS. We loved our trip so much that we are returning next Feb. and again staying at the WL.
