Room request question

We are staying at BWV on my parents DVC points in September. We requested a smoking room and they have since gone to non smoking. Can we request a room near a smoking area? Is that possible? How likely are they to do that? Also for those who had requested smoking rooms are they putting those people near smoking areas?

Saw your original post and assumed you'd posted in the wrong place, sorry

However, even though I have some points at BWV, we are non smokers and cannot help. You might have more luck posting on the US DVC planning board, although since smoking was considered such a hot topic and not DVC specific, a lot of the threads didn't survive.
