Room request guaranteed....?

I did my on-line check in this afternoon and was surprised to see that they noted our room request as guaranteed. I'm not banking on it being so, but it was surprising to me none the less.

What was your request? Some of them are guaranteed because of physical limitations or medical requests. Like ours, Fridge for Medical purposes (which is a given). We have a few more like Ground Floor in Homerun or Touchdown buildings and a King bed. We made it clear to them which we preferred the most so hopefully we'll get a Guarantee like you did when I check in tomorrow.

i tried the last 2 days just for "near transportation" and it states my request could not be processed at this time, you are arriving a day after me and was wondering if you had the same issues. thanks

I checked in this morning, it allowed me to check as many requests as I put in. But it told me that only two requests can be guaranteed out of the selection and others were first come first serve. But since our fridge is a given (medical purposes), I checked off ground floor and king size bed. It allowed me to do it, but I had to process our second reservation (two rooms, two separate reservations) twice. So it went through.

I'm not sure why yours wouldn't go through.

If you added the requests when you initially booked (or added later via phone) it's listed as "options" that you can tick off as to which is more important when checking in. Since apparently they'll only fulfill two requests.

That's good, maybe we'll get our requests. I think it's a really good chance for us since most of the King rooms are on the first floor. I'm just hoping we get the building request since it wasn't noted on the online check in but is apparently noted in the resort's computer.

Actually, in the mods, they are delivered from storage by Mousekeeping. They aren't in every room.

I would say with the size of the values, it would be the same thing. No room to store them in the room; just deliver as needed.

As many times as we have stayed in the Value rooms, I can honestly say I have never seen a pack and play already in the room. I have seen them in the closet at the Deluxe and Ft. Wilderness Cabins.

I have a couple of medical requests that are already guaranteed thru Special Services, but I also added a couple that I would like to have, but can live without.

In the past five years we've only been staying in DVC resorts so that's what I was going with.... My mistake.

So if I call and ask for 3rd floor Broadway we'd at least have a shot at it? They tend to put us on the 3rd floor (we stay 10 nights at a time I have a theory that has something to do with it but it is nice not having anyone above us)

BTW I see you're in Raleigh - we're in Wake Forest!

What resort are you staying at? If you're at Sports (saw it in your signature), the only building you wouldn't want would be Basketball. The only way you can be "near transportation" would be if you're purchasing a preferred room. We requested Home Run or Touchdown (both NOT preferred) but very close to the transportation. All Star Sports is a relatively small resort, so unless you're in basketball or the other side of tennis, it isn't a far walk.

They'll take the room request, but it's still a request. We're not sure if we'll be getting the building request we want. I hope so.

We actually live in Durham (off 98) but i say Raleigh because not many people know where Durham is. My mom works in Wake Forest near the Target.

we stayed in touchdown in 09 and i loved the location we were in the last room on the third floor closest to the homerun section. it looked like homerun was the farthest away but as you stating hoops and tennis are farther?

guess it doesnt really matter, i just like to be close to stadium hall so i can run grab breakfast while dd showers and then eat in the room before we head out. if i have to walk alittle farther i will, at least i am in disney and not home.
