We are travelling w/extended family (7 adults & 5 children :grouphug: ) in October  :cheer2: . We will be staying at POP have booked it as one reservation through our TA. The TA said that they don't accept room requests :sad2: . However, since we are all on one ressi, we have rooms right next to one another (3 in a row).

Is there a good area to request? I am torn between being near the pools or overlooking the lake...any suggestions? SHould we just be happy to have 3 rooms in a row? :rolleyes1

Thanks in advance, you have all been VERY helpful!!!! :flower:

I'd ask to be on the outside of the buildings. We were on the first floor once after arriving late, but because we were on the outside of the building, noise wasnt a problem.

My favorite and for a lot of others here is to request 50's building, 4th floor with a lake view. It is beautiful, quiet and close to everything.

Also, you might want to decide if you want adjoining rooms or connecting rooms. Connecting rooms actually have a door between them which is SO handy.

A few notes:

1) Disney does accept room requests, but they are only requests, not guaranteed. Make sure they are on your reservation.

2) do you have one reservation number or 3? If only one, you may have issues setting up room charging.

3) Did your TA create a grand gathering number for you?

If they do get connecting rooms, only 2 of the 3 will connect...

about the connecting/adjoining issue. We really don't require connecting rooms but DO require adjoining rooms, which is why the TA booked us under one ressie. Not sure I even WANT connecting rooms w/extended family (if you know what I mean)!!!!

I DO need to check to see if my TA obtained a Grand Gathering number for us. I learned about that AFTER we made ressies! I wish I found this board BEFORE we made our ressies :rotfl: ...trip preps would have been easier for sure!!!

My TA has been on maternity leave and has just gotten back to the office this month. I will contact her either today or tomorrow about those items.

You all are the BEST!!!!!!! :sunny:
