Room Request - Final Check List?

OK, we're checked in online at Board Walk on rented DVC points, I made a request based on the drop-down list choices while doing online check-in, my owner called to make the request more specific (Village Green section) a week ago and of course when we arrive around 10 - 10:30 am I'll repeat the request. Is there anything else we can do to increase our chances?
