Room Request Club at Grand Californian?

Is there any way to request a room at GC? We are staying club level and have kids who will be sleeping early and possibly napping in the afternoon (I HOPE) and we'd like to be close to the lounge so one of us can pop over to grab food/drinks while they sleep. When we stayed at Grand Floridian in 2018 we had a room just a few doors down from the lounge and it was really awesome to be so close. I just did online check-in but I don't see a way to request anything specific and we are not arriving until at least 9:00 on Friday night so I assume the best rooms will be gone by then? Is there someone I can call or chat with? We didn't receive any kind of welcome letter or email (that I saw) like we did at GF back in 2018 and no email or number to call. I will be happy with whatever we get but thought it might be worth asking!

You can call and request a room close to the lounge. This will likely take some time on hold, but I would suggest calling first thing when the lines open up. Be aware that it's only a request and not guaranteed, though.
