Room request at POR

First time posting. Here goes.

We are going to WDW in August. I have been before but have never stayed onsite. I am taking my 2 cherubs, 3 & 4.
I got the FTP for POR. I had been hoping for POFQ, but POR will do. I am a tireless planner and have been lurking on these pages for months. What I want is a room reccomendation. I have pretty much decided on AB. I think the kids will like the animals and walking on the paths etc. I have heard bld 14 is noisy and am thinking about 25, 27 area. I am not doing the waterview as it doesnt seem worth it. Any specific reccomendatoins

We have stayed in bldg 15 twice before (family w/ 3 small children). I think 14,15,18 and 27 would all be great choices. Bldg 18 is smoking. I really can't see why bldg 14 would be any more noiser than the others!! From experience, we liked 15 - close to the main bus stop, food court, main pool and a quiet pool. Hope this helps.

We just stayed in AB bldg 14 and it was fine. It was very quiet and close to everything.

I second that for building 14. It was so convenient for the pool and foodcourt and bus stop I had doubts about faxing a request for this but I am so glad I did. I have learned to follow the advice of others on the boards, after all they just want to help each other have the best vacation

We stayed in 15. It was very convenient to everything (food & bus) and we liked being close to our car. Just ask for a room on the side facing the trees (interior) rather than the outside facing the parking lot. Those outside rooms might be louder. We had no noise problems on the other side of the building. I think it is the same for 14. Just ask for a room away from the parking lot.

Great Question! Are the mansion buildings too far away from the pools and main area (food court)?

The mansions are further from the foodcourt than the AB buildings, however you could request (I think) Oak Manor or Magnolia Terrace, which are the closest. They are about the same distance to the Ol man Island pool as the AB buildings.

I heard that 14, 15 16 were noisy because of the highway and parking lot. But I will request 14 interior. Thanks for the advice.

Fortuanatley my kids are too young to care much about the
limited food selection and once they are happy I am happy.

I cant wait. We have to go the week before Labour Day, running into that weekend but I am hoping for a quiet week until Friday.
