The very farthest building (51) is just over 6/10 of a mile from Olivia's, or the equivalent of 1/2 way around World Showcase at EPCOT. You can also hop on any bus and get off near Olivia's. To return, you can walk across the bridge and hop on any bus back, but it is usually faster to walk it.

Well, if you choose to walk it will take you less than 10 minutes from the farthest building, but if you choose NOT to walk, you can just go to the nearest bus stop and hop on the very next bus that comes along. The buses will stop at HH last before leaving the resort. That being said, I would walk because it will take you less time.

Walking it is! We're used to SSR and sometimes the walking is a bit much, especially if you've just spent the day walking around a park. Thank you.

I have a gimpy knee. I will always ride before I walk, so the wife walks and I ride.

So, building 62 appears to be close to the hospitality house, but is not in the designated "category". Since that is the case, and we want to be near the hospitality house, that appears to be a good choice for us. Am I wrong?

To answer your question, yes building 62 would be a good location that is very close to the HH and pool. You could request buildings 62 - 64 and building 15 and 16 and any of those would be less than 2 minutes to the HH.
