Room request at DLH

Hi! I am going to book my trip next Tuesday- can anyone suggest an area of the DLH to request? Standard view room is what I am booking. Looking for convenience and maybe a decent view. Thanks!

We were there in April and had a standard view. We were in the tower with the check in place (I think it is the marina tower). Good location, and although we look over the parking lot (we were on the 3 or 4th floor) we could see fireworks in DL at night.

I second the Marina tower. It is very convenient to the pool, shops and Goofy's Kitchen. We were on the 3rd floor and had a great view of the fireworks (I could even lay in bed and watch them).

Convenience: Sierra Tower is most convienent to DTD, DL, and DCA, but most (if 9if not all) of the rooms are view room. Marina Tower is second most convenient to DTD, DL, and DCA. It is also most convenient to the lobby and shops, and is convenient to the Neverland Pool. Bonita Tower is the least convenient.

Views: As noted by other posters, the Marina standard view rooms look out over the front entrance and parking lot. However, you are able to see DL off to the right, including the fireworks. Bonita standard view rooms look out over parking areas toward the PPH.

Summary: If you are booking a standard view room and want convenience, choose Marina; for views, choose Marina.

To increase the likelihood of having your request met, call ahead 2-3 days before arrival and make you request (even if you make the request at the time of booking).

If I book thru AAA will they still let me request, then call beforehand and request again?

YES.
I booked GCH through AAA for my August trip and made a request at the time I made my final payment (30 days beforehand). I requested a Grizzly Park view on the reservation. I then called a couple of days beforehand to again request a Grizzly Park view, and noted that a high floor would be nice.
I was assigned the most perfect view and location. I would think it would work the same for the DLH. They can't guarantee anything, but hopefully, you will get as nice a CM as I did when I called in my room request.
