Room request @ AKV Kidani

Just wondering about suggestions for best room location to "request"...4 adults and 3 children (3,7,9)

We will definitely be using the pool (dependent upon weather since we are going in Oct) and we have a Savannah view room. We will be eating lunch and dinner in the parks/elsewhere and breakfast in the room and a few morning's at Jambo.

We wont mind the 10 minute walk to Jambo and we also will have our van. Thoughts?

We stayed in a SV 1 BR in August. I don't remember our room number but we were in the Rafiki section and loved it. It was just a little past the main lobby and not far from the pool.

The most common request at Kidani has quickly become "close to the lobby". With the long hallways of each "wing", many people have provided negative reviews of the long walk when their rooms weren't located near the lobby.

Also consider what floor you'd like to stay on. Lower floors (2&3), provide a closer animal experience in the Savannah, and the upper floors (4&5) are a bit more removed from the animals. I've stayed in both low level rooms and upper level rooms. The views are fantastic in both. The only drawback I've experienced with the upper level rooms is that the tree tops sometimes block the view of animals in portions of the savannah.
