Room # recommendations for a deluxe studio BLT?

Hi,

I just bought myself an awesome birthday present...DVC ownership at BLT. I was wondering about a good view from a deluxe studio or tips on choosing the right room #.

We've been DVC members for about twenty years, and I don't recall ever being able to specify what room number I would be assigned. I've been able to affect some aspects of the room assignment on occasion, things like "higher floor", "close to elevator", etc., but I've had those requests ignored as many times as honored, calling into question whether my requests are actually being honored or just coincidentally happen to be consistent with the room I was going to be assigned regardless.

What category have you booked? There are three view categories at BLT.

It matters for requests - which, I shall note, are simply requests. You do not get to pick the unit. An assignor will assign one to you.

I actually have submitted a specific room request and I was placed nearby according to the view. I guess I am asking what location anyone has liked with a standard view. There is an online tool I use to look at views but I wanted any advice from people who have stayed there.

That’s a bit like asking people to tell you their favorite color. Everyone has a different opinion, different perspective, and different reasons.

Do you want a chance of seeing fireworks from the room? Would you prefer a view of trees or the lake? Would you like to access the pool and recreation area from your patio?

We LOVE first floor. We had a great standard room, first floor right in front of the bocce court. Very peaceful. Would request first floor every time.
