Sorry for what I know to be a repeat post. Will a booking for AP rate on April 12, 2005 get you the discount rate for the length of the stay of just for as long as the current rate is out?

Thanks.

Hawk

It will get you the rate for your entire stay. However, keep in mind that April 12, 2005 is during the peak season. The regular season begins on April 17, 2005. Rates go down anyway after that date and there's always the possibility that codes for post-April 16th dates will be result in an even lower rate than the one you would get for the peak season.

On all Disney reservations the rate in effect on the day that you check in is the rate that remains for your entire stay.

I remeber checking into the Contemporary Tower on December 23, 1999 and checking out on January 3, 2000. My rate was $240 per night, which was Value Season less a 20% MKC Discount. People checking in starting December 26 paid $495 per night for the same type of room (Superpeak Season).

The downside is if you start in a higher season the rate still carries through. In that situation you can make "back to back" reservations. When you check in for the first reservation warn them of the second and they will block the same room for you. You will have to go to the front desk in the morning to check out and immediately check back in. This will not work if you have a package -- A seven day PH is $234 while buying a 3-day and a 4-day PH comes to $426.

Thanks for the help. I just booked from April 12 to April 22 under the existing AP rate. However, I had to book the last 5 days, April 22 to April 27 under the rack rate and hope for another set of discounts. The CM said he could only book 10 days per reservation so that is why the split dates.

Tim.

Since you have an AP, I'm assuming that you did not book a package. I see no reason why the CM could not book your entire stay under one reservation. I know that there were some problems with booking longer packages but you should be able to book room-only reservations for more than 10 days! I would try another CM.
