do they still charge you for two people if you only make ressies for 1 person...
I think I want to throw BF off the ship... :(

They charge a 'single supplement' rate which isn't quite as much as the second person. My sister has been thinking of joining us and she isn't married, so she would need a room to herself (there are already 4 of us in our room). So when I checked prices on the DCL website it added in the 'single supplement' charge.

My single friend is cruising with us (in her own cabin) I believe she has to pay 175% of the double rate for her category.

Sorry to hear about your troubles, I hope it all works out. If it doesn't though you can always take a girlfriend or two and share the room with them. The bed does seperate into two. I wouldnt want to pay for almost two people if there was only one of me. Good luck. :D

Those of us without a girlfriend or two able to make the time/$$$ commitment for even a Disney cruise are destined to pay the single supplement rather than troll the streets in search of cruise roommates.

If the choice is cruise or cruise not. I cruise. Can money be more important than seven days at sea with a verandah all to yourself?

Hey... go trolling here!! After two years of begging, I've come to the conclusion that DH just ISN'T going to take the time off to go again :(

I didnt say SHE should not cruise by herself, I recommended taking one as an option to her. If I had to pay to go by myself I would, but IF I could, I would rather take a friend IF I had a good one that could go with me. I didn't mean she should go "trolling" for one!

I odnt mind being by myself...I actually like traveling alone...
Hes just irritating me right now so I thought a little retail therapy would be good-what better than a cruise with a verhanda all by myself?

Just a thought....thats all

ever think of putting sis in a room with one of your party of 4? Therefore you would have 1 room with 2 (no single supplement) & 1 room with 3. If you picked rooms right, make sure the room with 3 actually could sleep 4 so that the second person in with sis could sleep in the room with "3" if so desired. Voila: No single supplement!

Just have to keep in mind that the first 2 people in a cabin always pay the full adult rate.

If you have sis pay the difference between this full adult rate and the rate that you'd be paying for your 4th person it may still be less than the extra 75% she'd be paying as a supplement.
