Room rates for November seem way more expensive than last year

Last year in between Jersey week and Thanksgiving I could've sworn we got a room at the Swan for about $180 (tax incl) and a lagoon view at YC for about the same price with an AP code. This year the best I could find at an AP rate was BWI water view at just over $300. Plus this year they've got those weird blackout dates and, it seems, fewer choices. Frustrating.

As demand increase so do prices. November has become very popular. The Food and Wine Festival has drawn larger crowds each year.

I believe Disney changed the season "class" for November.

(Value/Regular/Peak, etc).

That's not until next year. This year November is value, next year it will be regular.

It's just a matter of supply & demand. With less open rooms, they don't have to discount as much.

I was also surprised at the increase in prices. Last year I got GF LV for $266 inc tax on 24 Dec. This year it was $345 inc tax. Thats a big jump. I am holding BWI LV for $301 but might change my mind.

At least in November, the room discount for a deluxe (AP rate) is $90 from rack rate.

for October, I only got a $65 a night discount.
