I have a rather odd question and am hoping for some input without having to call MS. We have a studio and two 2-bedroom units booked for our trip in two weeks. One 2-bedroom has been requested as a lock off (booked with points only) and the other 2-bedroom is booked with member discounted cash so will be a dedicated. My sister is suppose to occupy the second bedroom of the dedicated unit but now says she may not be able to go due to work conflicts. The lock off unit is going to be used by our DD, DSIL, and DGS in the studio part and the 1-bedroom part will be used by our DSIL's brother, wife and two children. My question is.....since it may only be my DH and I in a big 2-bedroom dedicated can we just switch rooms with the family of four who are suppose to occupy the 1-bedroom? They are not members and although they rented points from us for the room the whole reservation is in my name. My sister's plans are up in the air right now and she may not know for sure until the last minute so what I am wondering is if they will allow us to switch rooms and put the non-members in the cash discounted room at check-in. Can anyone shed some insight on this or is it just a totally weird question?

Yes - you should be able to put whoever you want in each room -even though one of the rooms is booked for cash with the member discount. No one will care. The only "wrinkle" may be if some or all of you want the Dining Plan.

As you probably know, everyone staying in a unit must buy the plan for all nights of the stay. But the dedicated two bedroom, the lock off two bedroom and the studio can be treated separately for the DP. In other words, one two bedroom's registered occupants can be on the DP even if the registered occupants of the other 2 bedroom and studio are not.

If you take care of this before check in by calling MS, it will take less time to check in. But even if you don't, I'm quite sure you can take care of it at check in.

Terrific! Thanks CarolMN. Not using the Dining Plan. We purchased the DDE card. This will work out great. I see no sense in just my DH and I having that whole 2-bedroom unit to ourselves should my sister back out. Our DSIL's family will appreciate getting a 2-bedroom. We probably won't tell them until the last minute.
