Room Only + Tickets vs. Package

If you modify a package within 30 days of your arrival, you may be charged $15 fee to resend docs as well as a $50 modification fee if your package price goes down or stays the same (if your package price goes up you typically aren't charged the $50).

So, if on a package, 2 days before the trip 1 of my sons gets the Flu or there is a blizzard, I could Probably call and ask Disney to move that money or ressie over to June and we could use it then (minus, what? $200?) is that correct? I wss thinking with a sudden cancellation on a package we would just be out the whole $3000.

That's a really good question - we were trying to figure out if we should get trip insurance for that same reason...traveling with a 7 year old in January, flu or a blizzard are serious possibilities. But if we can reschedule for a small fee (yeah, I suppose $200 is a small fee in the grand scheme of a Disney vacation) that's way cheaper then buying the trip insurance. And it would make booking as a package well worth it...

I agree. Maybe someone will weigh in. I can't get the SPD at CSR anyway though so I will probably stay with ROom only unless I switch resorts.

Not sure on Disney protocol, but I have travel insurance for $64 that covers our trip which is far less than the $200 forfeiture. Then again, I didn't book a package, but room, tickets separately.

Hmmm...the quote I got from Roam Right was almost 3x that. Of course, I included everything...
Hmm, I only included my nonrefundables. Trip total plays a factor, number of adults and where you are traveling from. Plus add on's
