Got a few question about booking room only, sorry if they've been asked before

1) where's the best place to get room only prices? Can I get them online or is it a case of phoning?

2)Do blackout dates for annual passes still apply if you're staying at a Disney hotel? For example if I were to buy two of the cheapest passes from Ce-multivantages and booked a hotel for a black out date would that date still apply even in I was staying onsite.

3)Similarly would I get magic hours if staying on site with a Francillian pass?

1- AP room prices or just room prices without tickets ?

If it's AP room prices you have to ring. If it's just room prices without tickets Expedia and the like offer the best rates I think..someone will be along to correct me if I'm wrong ;)

2 - The cheapest being the Francilien ?
You would get in on your black out date as it's the only time that you can skip them BUT you wouldn't get in on your 2nd or 3rd day as even being in a Disney hotel doesn't over rule that.

3 - Depends afaik on how you have done your room

If you have 1 person in there who is on a Disney package with tickets etc and then add the AP holder's) on at reception paying the room tax yes everybody gets EMH
BUT
If you have all just bought room only no tickets I don't "think" that you do get the EMH slips

I'll have a look at DCP forums very comprehensive guide to AP's

you have to phone to get AP room only rates, and you will be asked what type of AP you have/are getting, because the discounts are different for each AP type.

no, there are no blackout dates for annual passes if you are staying in an onsite hotel., but I'm not sure about the Francillien AP, as the 2nd and 3rd days aren't blackout dates officially, they are blanket no-access days for a Francillen AP. I think you'd have to have your onsite hotel easypass with you though when you try to go through the turnstiles with an AP on a blackout date, so the CM at the turnstiles can override the blackout date and let you through.

yes, you get EMH if staying onsite, regardless of what type of AP/park ticket you have.

According to the CM's over at DCP the 2nd and 3rd day non entry on the Francilien still stands even if you are in a Disney hotel as it's in your contract:confused3

4) I want to buy a PA Francilien Fantasy or the day of my visit but it will be a day of restriction. It will be valid there?
Yes, the Annual Passport is valid on the day of its establishment, even if it is a day of restriction.
Non contractual restrictions take effect from the day after the final establishment of the PA.
Please note, two days after the date of establishment (or sale) of a PA Francilien final days are contractual restriction, even when staying in a Disney Hotel!

I don't know if I'd take the risk or not :confused3

ETA -

38) I have a PA with the days of restrictions. Can we overide the days of restrictions?
Yes, but only if you stay at a Disney hotel. You can enter the parks by showing your ID card EasyPass which will have been delivered upon arrival at the hotel.

Attention, the hotel Elysee Val d'Europe is no longer jump restrictions!

Please note, contractual restriction 2 days after purchase of a PA Francilien can not be over ridden even when staying at a Disney Resort!

Thanks for the advice, have spent the morning doing maths trying to figure out the best way to go.

One last question - if we book a package with Disney for one adult, one child and add another person on check in who has an annual pass does that person get breakfast? Also how much is the room tax?

(ok that was two questions ;) )

Thanks again!

Yes to breakfast and room tax is between 50cts and 2€ pp added per night depending on what categorie of hotel :)

That's brilliant to know, need to give them a call to check the annual pass rates but at the moment I'm thinking the best way for us to do it is book the package for one adult and one child then buy the second adult a Fantasy pass Once we get there.
