Room only Question

We have decided to stay an extra night at Disney but our resort is unavailable for the date. Can we book a room at another resort and than cancel if one becomes available at our resort? How far in advance do you have to cancel? We are leaving next week and our extra night is during the Wine and dine half marathon and we are nervous we won't find a room if we do not book now. Thanks in advance for any advice!

Policy states one nights fee for cancellation 6 days or less prior to visit, however no charge for changes. I would call Central Reservation to confirm my thought is if a room becomes available then it would just be a transfer/change to your reservation and probably not incur any cancellation fee.

Yes, you can book a room at another resort and then cancel. However, you must cancel your room only reservation at least 5 days before your arrival date.

Thank-you I called and booked a 1 day reservation at POR. The CM said if the extra day became available at CBR I could cancel up to 5 days before.
