Is there an option on the disneyland paris resort website to select room only, say for example if you plan going but due to times of flights etc it wouldnt be worth paying for park passes so could you just choose room only option for that day.

Not on the website. You can ring up and get room only prices but they will only allow you to do this if you are an annual pass holder or shareholder as otherwise all their rooms are sold with passes as standard.

If you book via expedia or someone like that you can select a with or without passes option.

If you are booking a package you can have the room only offer either side of the holiday to give you the option of a late flight, night at DLP without the park tickets for the day you arrive. I dont know if you can select this on line but it is mentioned in the brochure (with prices). If you phoned to make your booking you could probably request it.

Your other option is to book a package but book separatly offsite for the first night then move to your package hotel. I know one or 2 people on the board seem to have done this

I am not actually adventerous in my choice of travel it has to be easy jet and it has to be during the week and I probably wont get there till 5pm as the flights are only once a day from newcastle. I would be to afraid of getting lost choosing an offsite hotel.

As has been mentioned before, Expedia do all the Disney onsite hotels, with the option to book room only, without park tickets, all online.
